There are many different types of Slings and Strops, manufactured from various materials to suit particular needs and lifting methods
The most common types of Sling are:-
Chain Slings are mainly used in heavy industry, where large or heavy loads are required to be lifted
Available in Single, two, three or four Leg configurations, with standard sling hooks, self-locking, swivel or "C" hooks, and also shortening clutches or grab hooks.
Chain Grades available in Alloy-Steel Grade 8 (80) and Grade 10 (100)
Synthetic Fibre Round (or "Endless") Slings
Synthetic Flat-Web Slings
Synthetic Fibre Slings are manufactured from either Polyester or Dymeena, producing very light weight lifting products with a large lifting capacity
Available as Round Slings (commonly known as Endless Slings), or Flat-Web Slings. Synthetic Slings may also be referred to as Belt Slings, Belt Straps or Strops, Webbing Slings, Simplex or Duplex Slings
Wire Rope Slings
Wire Rope Slings are made to specific bespoke design to customers specifications, available in various types and with numerous end fittings
Including Soft/Hard-eyes, terminated to a Master Link, in Single, Two, Three or Four Leg combinations as with Chain Slings
